The Exterminating Angel

After a lavish dinner party, the guests suddenly find that, for some mysterious reason, they cannot leave the dining room. A day passes, then another, and the numerous carefully constructed facades and poses vanish as if they never existed. Buñuel progressively reveals, as the plot unfolds, how this extraordinary, almost fantastical situation strips away the veneer of culture from respectable and complacent people.
