1986. The Smurl family from Pennsylvania buys an antique mirror as a confirmation gift for one of their daughters.
It’s the very same mirror that, 22 years earlier, nearly cost Ed and Lorraine Warren their newborn daughter Judy.

Now Judy has grown up — and, having inherited from her mother the gift of seeing and hearing the supernatural, tries to ignore the increasingly terrifying visions that haunt her.
Meanwhile, strange and sinister things begin to happen in the Smurl household…
