"The Cave City of Uplistsikhe and the Archaeological Museum in Gori"

Uplistsikhe is a legendary cave city, one of the first cities on the territory of Georgia. We invite you to join an excursion to this mysterious corner of Sakartvelo!

Together with archaeologist Pavel Kolosnitsyn, we will visit the Bronze Age. We will learn how the city looked during the Hellenistic period. We will get acquainted with architectural monuments dating back to the early Christian and medieval eras.

We will have a small picnic on the shady bank of the Kura River with wine and khachapuri.

Then we will visit the archaeological museum in the city of Gori, where many finds from Uplistsikhe and other interesting archaeological sites are exhibited.
