Archil Sulakauri’s fairy tale “The Blue Deer” is built on the eternal struggle between good and evil. The new production at the Youth Theatre tells young audiences the same timeless story of this battle.
Pipa, the dog of the ruthless hunter Chakhmak Filtazar, decides one day to escape and free himself forever from his cruel master. On his journey he befriends a wandering musician, Olile. Pipa and Olile want to stop Chakhmak Filtazar, who has set his mind on killing the Blue Deer.
Many dangers and trials await the heroes. With their kind hearts and the help of their friends — the forest dwellers — they overcome evil and find the path to a world ruled by love, loyalty, and freedom.
At the end of the performance, the characters arrive in the dreamland of Papuchchini, where every dog lives happily with a kind and loving owner.
