Description

Dear friends, the premiere of our new course for teenagers — “The Birth of a Museum” — is just around the corner.

That’s why on Thursday, May 14, we’ve decided to make the first class open to everyone!

This means you can join us, meet the instructor during the first session, ask any questions you may have, and then decide whether you’d like to continue with the course.

At this meeting, we will explore the foundation on which the entire course is built.

Namely: How did museums appear?

We will talk about what people collected in the ancient world and why, how the museum collections of Ancient Greecediffered from those of Ancient Rome, as well as examples from other cultures.

By tracing the birth of the museum as an important institution that has survived through centuries while only growing in relevance, we’ll better understand what makes museums so fascinating and enduring today.

We love interactive learning methods, so we created a course where a museum is no longer a boring archive — it becomes a creative laboratory.

“The Birth of a Museum” is a space of freedom and exploration, where there are no single “correct” answers, but there is a lively scientific approach.

How will this help in education directly?

• Teenagers will learn how to work with sources, conduct interviews, and most importantly — turn information chaos into a structured project.

• They will learn how to formulate goals and tasks clearly, which will help with school research, essays, and future academic projects.

• They will gain a skill rarely taught in traditional schools, yet one that builds adaptability, critical thinking, and saves time and energy in real-life work.

The course is led by Veronika Tselishcheva — a PhD in Sociology with 20 years of experience.

She doesn’t deliver boring lectures — she teaches teenagers scientific curiosity and how to “diagnose” reality.

We’ll have six Thursday sessions — from May 14 to June 184:30–6:30 PM.

Participants will try on the roles of curator, designer, researcher, architect, and educator.

They’ll discover whether they’re drawn more to humanities research or technical spatial design.

And in the finale — a real exhibition, a project presentation before guests, and their first serious portfolio case.

🗓 Course starts: May 14, 4:30 PM
📍 Location: Betlemi 23, Tbilisi

Price — 130 GEL for 5 sessions
(First session is free)
