Los Angeles, 1991. The Gulf War.
The main character, nicknamed “The Dude,” considers himself a perfectly happy man. His life revolves around bowling and drinking.

But suddenly, his peace is shattered when gangsters mistake him for a millionaire with the same last name. They demand money he knows nothing about and, to make matters worse, they kidnap the millionaire’s wife, believing that “the husband” will pay any ransom to get her back.
