"The Battle of Battles" (2025) — Paul Thomas Anderson

In the 2000s, Pat Calhoun was part of a left-wing radical group, and after a killing during one of the raids, the members disappeared.

Sixteen years later, he lives in California under the name Bob Ferguson and raises a daughter whom he protects from everything due to paranoia. But the past returns when Colonel Lockjo starts hunting them.

Anderson is the author of "There Will Be Blood," "Magnolia," "Phantom Thread."

The film is a powerful drama about choice, will, and the price of the past.
