The Banality of Love

The play tells the story of the entirely non-platonic love between two of the most important philosophers of the 20th century — Hannah Arendt and Martin Heidegger. It is both a fascinating and unsettling story. Their secret affair lasted for 4 years, followed by 17 years without any contact, and then more than 25 years of publicly known friendship.
