The inner dialogue taking place in the human mind and the struggle with oneself become a decisive path toward overcoming suicidal intentions and continuing the fight for existence. Deep loneliness and isolation within an alienated and manipulated reality may lead to a sense of meaninglessness, where suicide can appear as one of the possible solutions.
Both the man and the woman experience profound loneliness. For the man, creating a play and allowing a woman into his life is not only an artistic ambition as a playwright but also a desperate attempt to fill his existential emptiness and escape isolation. The woman becomes not merely an object to be saved, but a field of projection — someone through whom the man seeks to rediscover meaning in his existence.
The performance was created within the Master’s Program “The Art of Living Theatre: Directing and Acting” at Ilia State University.
