Description
The new Georgian musical "shake“ was created based on the play" solar eclipse in Georgia " by the outstanding playwright of the 19th century Zurab Antonov.
The fable is taken from the life of old Tbilisi.
Tbilisi has always been a multinational city, where different and self-evident cultures coexisted next to each other, and this is represented in many ways in the Georgian literature of the 19th century, especially in dramaturgy.
The action of the characters is conditioned by the most important event in ancient Tbilisi - the solar eclipse. They try to change in one day, become noble, because only those who are sinless and married will survive.
The plot, richly saturated with songs, dances and humor, is a free interpretation of Georgian Vaudeville, which becomes an interesting spectacle for modern viewers.
