Striped Tale Animation Film Festival (8th Edition)

Animation for Adults

A new animated short by George Maestri, animator of Rocko's Modern Life and South Park. A nun whose chair refuses to obey gravity. An artist's wife who discovers what lies behind the red curtains.

Comedy, thrillers, and dark stories from five countries.

THE TOAST TRIP — USA, 11 min

Meaningless meetings, absurd numbers, big dreams, death, and toast. An office comedy by George Maestri (Rocko's Modern Life, South Park).

NUN OF THE ABOVE — USA, 6 min

Sister Elise keeps a secret inside a small blue medallion. Then a chair arrives in a box — one that has completely broken free from gravity.

PORTRAIT — Belgium, 6 min

A reclusive painter, a silent wife, and a garage she should never have opened. A wordless stop-motion horror film.

OUR LADY OF THE BORDERS — Mexico, 20 min

A magical realism thriller set on the US–Mexico border, animated in the style of 1990s anime: a young man, a mysterious girl, and a portal opening in the sky.

Plus more animated short films from the USA, Turkey, and China.
