AFTER MELISSA (Jamaica, 75 min)

Hurricane Melissa tore through Jamaica, and the news crews left after a week. This film stayed for the two weeks that followed: roofs gone, schools gone, people standing in what is left and deciding to begin again. Filmed by a Jamaican journalist who lives there.

LEAP (Netherlands, 30 min)

In Friesland they jump across canals with a wooden pole. It is a real sport, and it looks insane. A sixth-generation clog-maker with a baby on the way takes one last run at the title that always got away from him. Funny, tense, over before you want it to be.

THE MUSEUM OF ALTERNATIVE HISTORY (USA, 17 min)

An artist in Nebraska opened a museum where every exhibit is invented — fake artifacts, fake history, fake science. Visitors believed all of it. A very funny film about how easily any of us gets fooled.
