A university professor has long been unable to forget a traumatic event from her college years. But a visit from her best friend allows her to breathe a little easier.
The film’s director, Eva Victor, is a comedian. She has written for the feminist site Reductress, created viral sketches, and been published in The New Yorker. All of this background is evident in her debut: Eva brings a rare sense of restraint, tact, and ethical awareness to such material. She does not downplay the seriousness of the subject, yet she makes the film unexpectedly funny.
