Sergei Parajanov is a director whose artistic language is still being deciphered by film scholars. A multifaceted artist who worked in a variety of techniques and formats, but is still better known as one of the greatest masters of Soviet cinema. He was far ahead of his time in the depth of his creative approach and during his lifetime he was more in demand abroad than at home. And most importantly, Parajanov is not only “The Color of Pomegranates”.
