You are invited to a special charity screening of the short documentary Goodnight, Mr. Stalin, taking place on March 5 — the anniversary of Stalin’s death.
Born in the small town of Gori, Joseph Stalin remains one of the most divisive figures in history. While globally associated with terror, repression, and the deaths of millions, he still has admirers to this day.
Why does his legacy remain so controversial?
Why are emotions surrounding his name still so strong?
The film follows two women from different generations as they explore and reflect on these questions.
Through their conversations, the film tells a story about memory, identity, and how societies confront painful histories.
The film’s main protagonist, Zhanna Odiashvili, will attend the screening in person.
After the screening, the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussion with her.
