On the itinerary:
The Mountain of Nine Crosses — Ckhradzhvari
The cliff monastery and the Katskhi Pillar
The women’s rock monastery Mgvivebi
The town of mining carts — Chiatura
In one day we will visit the sacred sites of the Imereti Valley, with breathtaking views and ancient history. In these places you will feel the spirit of Georgia, resilience and faith, masculine and feminine, united in the divine.
We will climb up to Mount Ckhradzhvari and descend via a mountain pass to Lake Shaori. Ride in a one‑of‑a‑kind route taxi — a small wagonet. We’ll visit a beautiful rock monastery and admire a monastery perched atop a cliff.
The port city and Black Sea resort of Batumi is the capital of the Georgian Republic of Adjara. The Batumi Boulevard runs along the seafront, a park, and a beach. The 130-meter-high Alphabet Tower, featuring inscriptions in the Georgian script, houses an observation deck with stunning sea views. In the Old Town, you can see many reconstructed 19th-century buildings. In the northern part of Batumi lies the botanical garden, home to plants from around the world.
