The project “Romantic Italian Tenors” was created in 2022 by three talented friends — Fabio Andreotti, Gianluca Paganelli, and Mauro De Santis. Together, they formed a tenor trio that presents Italian classical music to the world in a fresh, modern, and captivating way, using one of the most valuable vocal registers — the tenor.

Tenor Fabio Andreotti began studying vocal performance under the guidance of baritone Antonio Boyer. From 2000 to 2005, he studied at the International Lyric University of Sulmona, where his teachers included Magda Olivero, Mirella Freni, Gabriella Tucci, and Renato Bruson. After receiving his higher musical education, he continued совершенствовать his artistry under the direction of tenor Gianni Raimondi.

He performed the role of Rodolfo in Puccini’s opera “La Bohème” at the Cairo Opera House under the baton of conductor Nayier Nagi. He also appeared in “Madama Butterfly” under maestro Ivan Repušić at the Skopje Opera House and performed in “Aida” at the Cairo Opera.

For the Macedonian Opera and Ballet Theatre, he performed in “La Traviata” staged by Stane Jurgec, and also gave a concert dedicated to the memory of tenor Enrico Caruso at Sanders Theatre of Harvard University in Boston (USA).

He performed Verdi’s “Requiem” in Quito (Ecuador) under the direction of maestro Patricio Aizaga together with the Youth Orchestra of Quito. In Tokyo, as part of opera concerts organized in cooperation with the Municipality of Rome, he gave a solo concert at Suntory Hall.

Fabio Andreotti receives standing ovations from audiences across Eastern and Central Asia, the CIS countries, America, and Europe.

Gianluca Paganelli is an operatic tenor who has successfully combined the art of classical opera with the genre of classical crossover. He studied under his uncle, baritone Ludovico Malavasi, and attended masterclasses with renowned performers such as soprano Renata Scotto, tenor Luciano Pavarotti, and Alfredo Kraus.

In 2010, Gianluca became the winner of the Italian national television talent show “I Raccomandati” on Rai1, watched by more than 6 million viewers.

He frequently participates in prestigious sporting events, including the famous “Six Nations” tournament held in Twickenham, London.

Thanks to his refined classical education received in Italy, Gianluca has established himself in the world of opera through successful musical projects, television appearances, and film roles.

Mauro De Santis graduated from the Licinio Refice Conservatory in Frosinone with a degree in operatic singing and later continued his professional development at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome under maestro Giuseppe Sabbatini. He studied with several renowned masters, including Giovanni Scarpelletti and Anna Bella Rossi, later developing his own technical style together with Kristina Piperno.

During his early years of study, he performed in Kurt Weill’s “The Threepenny Opera”. He also appeared in leading roles in musicals such as “Temple of Criticism” (2002), “Othello and Desdemona” (2003), and Puccini’s “Paradise” (2004–2005). He collaborated with distinguished conductors including Pappano, Visioli, Zambelli, Conlon, Chung, Gatti, and many others.

Mauro performed the role of Jesus Christ in Franz Joseph Haydn’s opera “The Seven Last Words of Christ on the Cross” together with the MuSa Orchestra and the choir of Rome’s “La Sapienza” University. The premiere took place inside the Pantheon in Rome and achieved tremendous success with both audiences and critics.

He has performed roles in operas such as “La Traviata” (Alfredo), “Aida” (Il Messaggero), “Il Trovatore” (Ruiz), and “Gianni Schicchi” (Rinuccio), among others.

Mauro De Santis collaborated with maestro Ennio Morricone, giving concerts throughout Italy and Europe — including Arena di Verona, Caracalla, Rome, Florence, Milan, Switzerland, Nîmes (France), and many other cities — where he also collaborated with the famous artist Zucchero Fornaciari.

“Romantic Italian Tenors” present true masterpieces of operatic music — iconic works of opera and classical song, the world’s most famous arias, Neapolitan songs, and popular international melodies.

The program includes: “Nessun Dorma” from Puccini’s “Turandot”, the Neapolitan song “Santa Lucia”, the Mexican classic “Granada”, “La Donna è Mobile” from Verdi’s “Rigoletto”, Bach-Gounod’s “Ave Maria”, the legendary “O Sole Mio”, and many more.

The concert in Tbilisi will feature brilliant pianist Ekaterine Gogolidze, who will perform the piano accompaniment alongside the three Italian tenors.
