This Thursday, we invite you to a playful seminar to lift your spirits during the first working days of January. Together, we’ll explore how cats were depicted in Ancient Egypt, Ancient Rome, medieval Europe, Japan, and Georgia. We won’t overlook the cat-rich 20th century—or our own time.
At the seminar, we’ll discuss how and why artists from different eras portrayed cats, what meanings they assigned to them, and why these images still make us laugh and feel touched today.
Of course, you’ll also be able to pet the cats of our space—including the famous Muzhik and others.
Come for a good mood and some purr-fectly delightful knowledge—or the other way around!
The meeting will be hosted by cat enthusiast, film director, and game designer Nadezhda Podbereznykh.
