Rendez-vous is a poetic journey through memory, imagination, and family history, created by Victoria Thierrée Chaplin, Jean-Baptiste Thierrée, Aurélia Thierrée, and James Thierrée.
As they browse through an old family photo album, the performers revisit fragments of past productions and embark on an imaginative voyage through time. What unfolds is a series of stories inspired by circus, theatre, and music hall traditions, woven together with the memories of a remarkable artistic family.
From the legendary Cirque Bonjour, founded in 1971, to Cirque Invisible, as well as productions such as La Symphonie du Hanneton, Bells and Spells, Raoul, and Murmures des murs, Rendez-vous creates a dazzling firework display of fleeting moments, unexpected images, and theatrical wonder where imagination reigns supreme.
Rather than explaining their intentions or analyzing themes of artistic heritage, family legacy, or theatrical tradition, the creators deliberately leave space for the audience’s own imagination.
As the artists themselves suggest, this is an invitation to dream, to imagine, or even to ignore explanations altogether and simply travel with them into the heart of a magical encounter.
Rendez-vous celebrates the limitless power of imagination and the ability of theatre to connect generations through images, music, memories, and emotion.
