Program (may slightly change depending on location pace or weather!)

Day 1Mountain passes, panoramas, and a fairytale lake

Departure from Tbilisi at 08:00

Mount 9 Crosses (Tsikhrajvari) – One of the most picturesque viewpoints in Racha (1569 m). At the top of the cliff stand nine crosses, surrounded by endless forests, steep ridges, and the turquoise Tkibuli Reservoir below. The view takes your breath away — it's hard to look away. A short forest hike uphill awaits us.

Nakerala Pass (1200 m) – One of the most beautiful mountain passes in Georgia. From the viewpoint, we’ll see the town of Tkibuli nestled between mountains and lakes. Imereti opens up like a map from above.

Shaori Reservoir (Lake Shaori) – The diamond heart of Racha. A large artificial lake created on the Shaori River, surrounded by pine forests and silence. Here you can breathe in deeply — the air is crystal clear and the scenery looks like a postcard.

Nikortsminda Cathedral (11th century) – A masterpiece of Georgian ecclesiastical architecture. Admire the detailed stone carvings and remarkably preserved frescoes. You can truly feel the spirit of antiquity and the grandeur of Orthodox tradition.

Ambrolauri Waterfall (Waterfall of Love) – A small waterfall that flows down moss-covered rocks shaped like a heart. According to legend, standing under the waterfall brings love or a soon-to-happen wedding. Despite its size, it's a very popular spot because of the legend.

Hotel check-in in Ambrolauri – A cozy evening in the mountains. Time to rest or take a quiet walk through the town. Optional: Traditional Racha dinner (45₾, paid separately).

Day 2Wine, a mountain village, and return to the city

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for tours.

Khvanchkara Village – The birthplace of the famous Khvanchkara wine. This wine is a national pride of Georgia! We will learn about the unique Aleksandrouli and Mujuretuli grape varieties. Optional wine tasting at a local winery (extra cost).

Lailashi – A nearly abandoned mountain village with spectacular views above the Tskhenistskali River gorge. In summer, a small open-air mountain pool sits on a cliff edge, filled with icy spring water. A hidden gem you’ll never want to leave.

Location

Tbilisi
Tbilisi is the capital and the largest city of Georgia, lying on the banks of the Kura River with a population of around 1.2 million people. Tbilisi was founded in the fifth century AD by Vakhtang I of Iberia, and since then has served as the capital of various Georgian kingdoms and republics. Because of its location at the crossroads between Europe and Asia, and its proximity to the lucrative Silk Road, throughout history, Tbilisi has been a point of contention among various global powers. To this day, the city's location ensures its position as an important transit route for energy and trade projects. Tbilisi's history is reflected in its architecture, which is a mix of medieval, neoclassical, Beaux Arts, Art Nouveau, Stalinist, and Modern structures. Historically, Tbilisi has been home to people of multiple cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, though its population is overwhelmingly Eastern Orthodox Christian.
