Watching and discussing the cartoon «Soul»

An aging school music teacher, Joe Gardner, has always dreamed of performing on stage as part of a jazz ensemble. One day, he successfully auditions for a legendary saxophonist and, returning home, beside himself with happiness, falls into a manhole and dies. Now Joe has only one road - to the Great After, but he escapes from an escalator going to eternity and accidentally ends up in the Great Before. Here, new souls find themselves, and future people develop hobbies, dreams, and interests. Joe becomes a mentor to the stubborn soul 22, who has been unable to find her spark and go to Earth for many centuries.

Oscar for Best Animated Film and Best Soundtrack.

The soundtrack was written by Nine Inch Nails members Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, who made music for Watchmen (2019) and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011).
