A presentation of a 365-page tear-off calendar dedicated to Georgian heritage will take place at the Auditorium. This calendar is the result of a year-long project by the MARKA Bureau, widely known for its coloring books devoted to Georgia’s architectural heritage.
The calendar is conceived as a visual encyclopedia of Georgia for every day of the year.
365 pages — 365 cultural and natural heritage sites: from medieval churches and fortresses to modernist architecture, archaeological monuments, landscapes, and objects of everyday culture. Each page features a hand-drawn illustration of a site, along with a short description and location, making the calendar not only an interior design object but also a tool for creating personal travel routes across Georgia.
During the meeting, the founders of the MARKA bureau — architect Elena Makarova and historian Elena Lisitsyna — will speak not only about the content of the calendar, but also about the full cycle of creating such a product in Georgia: from the initial concept and selection of 365 heritage sites to design and production details.
