The Secret of the Old Oak is a kind and heartfelt story about a little dog with a pink tail who sets off into a magical forest. The tale echoes the author’s own life: born in a Tatar village in Mordovia, Diana von Poellier followed her future French husband when he was forced to flee from Russia to Georgia. It is a story about hope, friendship, and the belief that goodness is stronger than evil.

Written and illustrated by Diana von Poellier during her pregnancy in Buenos Aires, and printed in Tbilisi by Prince George Bagrationi, this book is a wonderful gift for children who wish to improve their French.
