The Cider House Rules

An adaptation of the novel by John Irving. The 1940s. Homer Wells grew up in an orphanage and has never left its grounds. However, he excels in obstetrics, assisting Dr. Larch in countless abortions. It is here that Homer meets Candy and her lover, who is leaving for the war. With them, he leaves St. Cloud for the first time to experience a life he had only dreamed of.
