In search of an interesting character for an article, journalist Marco meets with the famous bullfighter Lydia. Their acquaintance grows into passionate love, but all hopes are destroyed by a tragedy at a bullfight: the blow of an angry bull plunges Lydia into a coma. Spending days and nights in the hospital, Marco meets nurse Benigno. It is not the first year that he has been taking care of Alicia, who has fallen into a coma, whom he loves passionately, not hoping for reciprocity.
