PIANO TRIO

Shostakovich will thrill you, Rachmaninoff will move you to tears, and the concert will conclude with Saint-Saëns’ “Danse Macabre.” All of this will be performed in the unique acoustic setting of the Lutheran Church.

Piano, violin, and cello intertwine, challenge one another, and respond in an ongoing musical dialogue — this is the essence of the piano trio.

Music becomes even more fascinating when you know the story behind it. Throughout the evening, the musicians will share what was happening in the composers’ lives and how those experiences found their way into their music.
