On March 14, at the Grand Hall of the Tbilisi State Conservatoire, a solo piano recital by the young pianist and multiple international competition laureate Sandro Gegechkori will take place, titled “1908 D – A 1940.”
The program features Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Piano Sonata in D minor (1908, D Minor) and Sergei Prokofiev’s Piano Sonata in A Major (1940, A Major).
The concert will be presented in two parts and will feature two masterpieces composed during turbulent and transformative periods in the lives of these composers.
