Persepolis

Tehran, 1978. Eight-year-old Marjane dreams of becoming a prophet and saving humanity. She follows the unfolding events with great interest, as they soon lead to a revolution and the fall of the Shah's regime. With the establishment of the Islamic Republic comes the era of "revolutionary commissioners." Marjane is now forced to wear a veil, but in her dreams, she sees herself as a true revolutionary.
