FLAYERS (France, 10 min)

Hundreds of vultures circle above a cliff, then come down all at once. Ten minutes, not a single word, filmed close enough to hear the wings. Shot by a graduate of France's wildlife film school and awarded for its camerawork.

THE THREE MUSKETEERS OF GEORGIA (Switzerland, 50 min)

Irma, Gvantsa and Nina are Georgian women with disabilities who took up the sabre and started fighting their way towards the Paralympic Games. Half the film they shot themselves, on their phones, in the gym and at home. Wheelchair fencing is fast and brutal, and almost nobody ever gets to watch it this close.

THE NETWORKS: ART + FISHING + COMMUNITY (USA, 51 min)

Gloucester is the oldest fishing port in America, and its fleet is dying. An artist arrives with a plan to make something together with the fishermen — people who have no patience for art projects. What they end up building says more about a town holding on than any news report could.

LANGUAGE AND SUBTITLES

Films are screened in their original language, with subtitles in English, Georgian and Russian, provided according to the audience.
