Parlor Role-Playing Game

Join us on Wednesday evening, June 3, for a narrative role-playing game filled with dramatic scenes, moral choices, and a conflict between magic and the system.

Each player will have two roles: a resident of a noir city and a fairy-tale character (from Western European or Disney-style fairy tales).

You will find yourself in a noir city — cold, cynical, and governed by Status. It is home to gangsters, femme fatales, morally ambiguous detectives, corrupt officials, and people who have long forgotten what hope feels like.

Into this city come the Fairy Tales — refugees from ruined magical kingdoms. Their colors are fading, their magic is disappearing, and their dreams are slowly crumbling under the pressure of reality. Yet every Fairy Tale still carries within them a vision of their own “happily ever after” — the hope that one day something will happen to bring their story to a happy ending.

The Adaptation Commission is trying to integrate the Fairy Tales into the system: giving them respectable status, teaching them to follow the rules, and repainting their colorful world in shades of black and white.

The central question of the game is: will the Fairy Tales dissolve into this gray world, or will they be able to color it with their own magic and find their happily ever after?

No preparation is required. Characters will be created and assigned on-site, and all rules will be explained before the game begins.

Participants are welcome to dress in a black-and-white noir style.

We also encourage you to bring small colorful items — ribbons, accessories, scarves, gloves, or any symbolic splash of color you would like to bring into this gray city.

The game will be hosted by Andrey, a professional game designer and role-playing game master with 15 years of experience.
