Danish neofolk project Of the Wand and the Moon in Tbilisi on March 29th!
This is a musical project of former Melodic Death / Doom Metal band Saturnus member Kim Larsen, created in 1998 to explore neofolk, dark folk, experimental and ambient music. The project's early albums combine melancholic acoustic guitar, atmospheric synthesizers and poetic, often esoteric lyrics inspired by European folk traditions, runic mysticism and personal reflections. Of the Wand and the Moon's first three albums - Nighttime Nightrhymes (1999), Emptiness: Emptiness: Emptiness (2001) and Sonnenheim (2005) - shaped the project's signature sound, making it one of the most respected names in the neofolk genre alongside Death in June, Sol Invictus and Current 93.
The opening act will be Majdanek Waltz, veterans of the Russian industrial and neofolk movement and drone-ambient masters Uhushuhu!
