New Year and Christmas animation

We invite you to watch the best New Year and Christmas cartoons from various countries and eras in our space, Papers.

The screening will be hosted by Yuri Mikhailin, director and author of the Telegram channel "Boats Made of Watermelon Rinds." He will talk about the development of the animation genre and the place New Year and Christmas stories hold in it.

After the screening, Yuri will demonstrate how to create a cartoon using optical toys—thaumatropes, which you can take home and hang on your Christmas tree.

The event will be held in Russian. Payment can be made on-site in cash or by card.
