On December 17, celebrate Barbaroba with another unforgettable evening — at Mono Hall, at the concert of one of the most beloved Georgian musicians and bands: Niaz Diasamidze and 33a.
Niaz Diasamidze is talented in many things at once: besides composing music and writing lyrics, he paints, makes wine, crafts traditional instruments, can build furniture — and who knows how many more skills he has.
His music reflects this diversity: it’s created with deep knowledge and love for different styles. Sometimes, within a single song, you can hear an unexpected blend of reggae, rock, Georgian folk, gypsy melodies, and the broad universe of “Tbilisi music” — in its widest sense, from duduk sounds to Otar Ramishvili.
A continuous creative search and genuine artistic honesty played a big role in the group’s success — after all, for more than 25 years, 33a has been considered one of the most significant bands in Georgia. And it’s important to remember: 33a is not just Niaz. He is joined by some of the country’s finest musicians — and without them, the band’s sound simply wouldn’t be the same.
