New Year in Svaneti | Take and Hike | Batumi

Day 1 — December 30: Entering the Winter Wonderland

We leave Batumi around 9:00 AM. The road to Svaneti is already part of the adventure, with scenic landscapes and a traditional tea stop in Zugdidi.

Upon arrival in Mestia, we check into our cozy hotel, take a walk through atmospheric evening streets, and finish the day with a warm group dinner, anticipating the upcoming celebration.

Day 2 — December 31: Snowy Adrenaline & New Year Magic

We spend the whole daylight time on the slopes!
We head to one of the ski resorts — Zuruldi or Tetnuldi (chosen depending on snow and slope conditions). We ride, enjoy fresh powder, and recharge with mountain energy until 16:00.

In the evening, we return to prepare for the main event!
A festive New Year’s dinner awaits us at the hotel. After the celebration — a walk through the night streets of Mestia to welcome the New Year among ancient towers, plus visits to friendly parties!

Equipment & Preparation:
If you need a snowboard instructor, you can book one in advance. Ski advice is available from our guide (up to middle+ level).
It’s best to bring your own ski clothing or rent it from Take&Hike, along with all necessary gear for safe and comfortable skiing.

Day 3 — January 1: Rest, Culture & Stories

We recover and start the new year with a late, relaxed breakfast!
Then we head up the mountain again.

In the evening, we immerse ourselves in Svaneti’s history:
• visit the authentic house-museum of Mikheil Khergiani
• climb a real 11th-century Svan Tower with a guide to touch the legends of the region.

Day 4 — January 2: Freedom of Choice — Ushguli or More Skiing

This day depends on your mood:

Option 1 — Trip to Ushguli:
We visit the highest inhabited community in Europe and photograph the iconic towers with the snowy Caucasus as the backdrop.

Option 2 — Another Ski Day:
We continue exploring the ski resort and enjoying the slopes.

In the evening, we warm up in the sauna — a perfect way to relax muscles and share impressions.

Day 5 — January 3: Skiing & Final Celebration

After breakfast — one more ski session!
In the evening: farewell dinner and cozy gatherings — board games and a BBQ-party right on the rooftop of our hotel with a view of the night Mestia.

Day 6 — January 4: Farewell to the Mountains

Breakfast at the hotel, already fully packed, so we don’t lose time.
We head straight to the slopes for a final ride.
After a friendly late lunch on the mountain and the last descent, we return to Mestia and begin our trip back to Batumi.
