A mysterious boarding school for girls in an emerald-green forest. They are brought there in coffins, carefully unpacked, and sent to study ballet. The girls' past doesn't matter, as they don't remember it anyway. What matters is to study well, not ask questions, obey the teachers, and walk in the forest only under dimly lit, buzzing electricity lanterns.

This is a film where anxiety is literally in the air but is never expressed in anything concrete. Vague threats emanate from outside, from the forest, and from within, from the internal rules of the boarding school. It seems that this fear of the ominous, unknown yet beautiful coexisting with the expectation of wonder is the very nature of growing up and transforming a child into a teenager.
