Description

On Sunday evening, June 14, we invite you to a seminar dedicated to the history and culture of the capital of Georgia.

Tbilisi is a city where antiquity and modernity are intertwined at every step. We will learn more about the most famous monuments and attractions of the city: from ancient temples and fortresses to modern sculptures and symbols.

Let's talk about:

• Sameba Cathedral, in the construction of which stones brought from Jerusalem were used.

• The “Hope of Georgia” icon, decorated with gold and jewelry worth about 20 million dollars.

• Narikala Fortress, the oldest monument of the capital, founded in the 4th century.

• The Bridge of Peace, a modern symbol of Tbilisi, a glass and metal structure that has become one of the hallmarks of the city.

• The monument to “Mother of Kartli”, in one hand of which there is a cup of wine for friends, and in the other - a sword for enemies.

• And about many other, including not the most famous, sights and monuments.

Come see a familiar city in a new way and discover the stories behind its symbols.

The meeting will be led by Suren, an experienced tour guide.
