The Theatre’s news bulletin announces:
five decades after its screen debut, Georgia’s first musical — the legendary and classic Melodies of the Verisubani District, directed by Giorgi Shengelaia, with immortal music by Gogi Tsabadze and unforgettable lyrics by Moris Potskhishvili, comes to life on the stage of the Theatre in a breathtaking production.

This story tells of one of the city’s oldest districts and an unspoken love.
Of a crime committed out of kindness, and a punishment revoked by the will of the people.
Here you will meet Pavle the coachman and his daughters, Vardo the laundress and dance class teachers, the police chief and his subordinates, merchant Pankesa and Aga-Georkas.
