The theatre brings exciting news:
50 years after its screen debut, Georgia’s first musical — the legendary classic “Melodies of the Veris Quarter” by Giorgi Shengelaia, featuring the immortal music of Gogi Tsabadze and unforgettable lyrics by Moris Potskhishvili — comes alive on the stage of Teatri as a breathtaking theatrical experience.

This story tells of one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods and unspoken love; of a crime committed out of kindness and a punishment overturned by the people’s will. Here you will meet the coachman Pavle and his daughters, the washerwoman Vardo and dance-class teachers, the police officer and his subordinates, the merchant Pankesa, and Aga-Georka.

The musical is presented in three parts with dinner and is based on the film of the same name.

The "Theatre" is a new multifunctional space in Tbilisi with a completely new concept, the first in Georgia and Transcaucasia.
