Megalopolis

The brilliant architect Caesar Catilina tries to transform the ruined New Rome into an ideal futuristic center of the world, where everyone will be happy. But Mayor Franklin Cicero has his own vision for the future of the metropolis and what is more important for its citizens. He is so consumed by animosity that he fails to notice how his own daughter falls in love with Caesar and becomes inspired by his ideas.

This film is the biggest comeback of the past year: Coppola has completed the main unfinished project of his life. He wrote the screenplay back in the early 80s, but the project was stopped, partly due to Coppola's financial troubles. In 2001, a certain amount of material was finally shot, and pre-production began, along with script readings. However, after the September 11 attacks, the project was put on hold again due to a scene on page 166 of the script that predicted similar attacks. Coppola ultimately abandoned the project and returned to it only in recent years.
