Dato Turashvili is the author of several bestselling books, including the novel “Generation of Jeans”, which has remained one of the most widely read books in Georgia over the past 20 years. The novel is based on real events from 1983 — the tragic story of a group of young people who attempted to hijack a Tu-134 passenger plane.
At an evening event at Papers, Dato Turashvili will talk about Georgian literature, his best-known novels, and the real stories that inspired them.
At the end of the meeting, guests will have the opportunity to ask the writer questions — including about his public and civic activities, for which Turashvili is also well known — as well as purchase books and have them signed by the author.
