Jandari Bike Tour

Jandari lake flows in the south-eastern part of Tbilisi, in the territory of Gardabani municipality. One part of the lake belongs to the territory of Georgia, and the other part to Azerbaijan. Why is Jandari Lake an important and interesting place? It is one of the important wetlands in Georgia. mainly for wintering and migrating waterfowl. In winter, many birds can be seen in these places, including: various species of ducks and seagulls, small herons and others. Also globally vulnerable species such as white-headed duck, coot duck, red-headed grebe and others. If you are lucky, you can see 3 species of swans on Jandari Lake. During the tour, we will observe birds from the shore of Jandar Lake with the help of binoculars and a telescope and together we will try to identify them. Before that, I will tell you about the importance of Jandari Lake and the wintering and migratory birds found here. Then we will return to Rustavi by bicycle and to Tbilisi by transport. To register, write to us on Facebook or Instagram page of "Caucasian Cycling Network" before February 10th ♥️
