On April 25 – We are excited to host, one of the best-selling crossover pianists in the world -  Maksim Mrvica concert at Tbilisi State Concert Hall.

Maksim is one of the best-selling crossover pianists in the world. His albums have sold over 4 million copies in 57 countries world wide, reaching gold and platinum sales in many countries.

Maksim showed early promise, finishing his education at «The Franz Liszt Academy of Music» in Budapest and «Alexander Scriabin Conservatoire» in Paris, after already having won first prize in a National Competition in Croatia as well as first prize at the Rubinstein Piano Competition in France.

After signing a contract with record label EMI, the “Piano Player” album sold over 4 million copies. It achieved Double Platinum in Hong Kong and Gold status in Singapore and many other countries.

He held a 20-city tour in Japan that was considered the biggest tour ever by an international artist. The tour’s success led to invitations from the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, to perform as a soloist, and from the Chopin Society in Warsaw to celebrate the bicentennial of Chopin’s birth.

Maksim’s success encompasses more than just the classical music world, reaching a diverse audience. His work has been included on the official Olympic Games album and has garnered an MTV award for best debut crossover album of the year.

His music style has broken down the boundaries between music genres, from classical and movie music to pop and electronic in cooperation with EMI, Sony, and Universal.

He has performed at venues and events as prestigious as The Hammersmith Apollo in London, United Palace in New York, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Great Hall of the People in Beijing, Sydney Opera House, Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, CCTV Spring Gala Festival, and many others.

His artistic diversity runs beyond music to the fashion realm, where his collaborations with leading brands such as Dolce&Gabbana, Armani, and Christian Dior have led to him being named Best Dressed Man by Vogue Homme. Tbilisi Concert Hall (Tbilisi State Philharmonic) is a concert organization located on Merab Kostava Street, 36/1. This is one of the main attractions of the capital of Georgia. The largest concerts and important cultural events with the participation of local and foreign performers are held on the stage of the Philharmonic. The Philharmonic Concert Hall was built in 1971 according to the design of the architect I. Chkhenkeli. At the beginning of the 21st century, the hall was completely renovated. The Philharmonic Concert Hall has a main hall with 2,500 seats and a small hall with 750 seats. In 2001, a “Walk of Stars” was set up near the Philharmonic building, among those represented were the founder of the Georgian National Ballet Nino Ramishvili, the famous singer Nani Bregvadze, violinist Liana Isakadze, vocal and instrumental ensembles “Orera” and “Iveria”, composer Bidzina Kvernadze, artists Eter Kakulia, Teimuraz Tsiklauri and others. In 2014, the Philharmonic was named after composer Alexi Machavariani. In front of the hall there is a bronze sculpture “Muse” by sculptor Merab Berdzenishvili.
