Lorna’s Silence

To obtain Belgian citizenship, a young Albanian woman named Lorna enters into a marriage of convenience with a drug addict. Her intentions are far from innocent: if he overdoses, she will gain the freedom she has dreamed of all her life. At the heart of the conflict are two opposing desires — Lorna’s wish to become independent and her husband’s struggle to overcome his addiction and stay alive.
