The opening concert of the experimental music festival Close Encounters 2025 will take place during a Long Night at Club Tbili Orgia, currently one of the most experimental venues in the vibrant club scene on the left bank of Georgia's capital.
The lineup features two ensembles from Switzerland, Ensemble KIOSK and trio u /r, alongside various performers from Tbilisi's electronic and club scene: Nika Machaidze aka Nikakoi, Natalie Beridze aka TBA, Tiko Gogoberidze aka TINA, and Sandro Chinchaladze aka TeTe Noise.
The program will span a wide range of genres, from experimental electronic music to heavy drone sounds and techno rhythms.
The program of Ensemble KIOSK for this evening includes works by three Georgian musicians (as well as a piece by the late Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto). Following KIOSK’s performance, trio u /r will present a 30-minute composition, specially developed for Close Encounters 2025, after which the Georgian electronic music artists will continue with live sets.
