The biopic is based on the novelized biography "Limonov" by Emmanuel Carrère, which became an international hit and made the fate of the Kharkiv native an object of overseas fascination.
The film features a plethora of well-known Russian characters, including not only those who have left the country but also those who continue to work in Russia—such as the artistic director of the "Theater of Nations," Evgeny Mironov, blogger Sergey Mezentsev, and musician Kirill Batishchev from the band "Bandaeros."
There are also foreign agents present—Mikhail Kozyrev and Tikhon Dzyadko were spotted, along with a large number of actors who have not been filming in Russia for three years now, including Chulpan Khamatova, Andrey Burkovsky, and others.
