Lecture Over a Glass of Wine: Mondrian

Dutch artist Piet Mondrian is perhaps one of the most frequently referenced artists today. Alongside Malevich and Kandinsky, he pioneered abstract painting.

His famous Compositions continue to inspire renowned fashion designers, sneaker manufacturers, car makers, iPhone case designers, and architects.

During the lecture, we will trace his journey from classical art to abstraction.
We will explore:

• How to understand abstractionism?
• What revolution did Mondrian bring about, and what is encrypted in his paintings?
