Sergei Dovlatov was born in Ufa, first published in New York, but spent most of his life in Leningrad.
He wrote about himself: "Nationality — Leningrader. By patronymic — from the Neva." From 1944 to 1978, with small interruptions, the writer lived on Rubinstein Street, which he lovingly called "Rybinshtayna."
At the lecture, you will learn:
Dovlatov — a carefree wanderer or one of the most determined, hardworking, and organized writers of his generation?
The women of the Dovlatov family and the relationships of creative individuals.
A visit to Dovlatov's home. What does a real St. Petersburg communal apartment look like?
