Brazilian art has a complex nature: its foundation is a fusion of European, indigenous, and African components. In the lecture, we will try to understand the basis of each of them. We will see how they merge and what motifs emerge in different forms of art. Special attention will be paid to the interaction between art and the rituals of syncretic religions: Macumba and Candomblé.
