A woman and her two daughters—one about twenty-five, the other five years old—return to Taipei after a long absence. The woman opens a small café at a night market; the older daughter sells some cheap junk; the younger one, a left-hander, learns from her grandfather that the left hand belongs to the devil.
The directorial debut of a collaborator of Sean Baker (*Anora*). Baker himself is credited as co-writer and editor.
“A light, fast-moving street film about imperfect yet endearing people living in difficult economic circumstances” (S. Zelvensky).
