As part of the Merab Mamardashvili lecture series, a meeting will be held with Andro Dgebuadze.
Knowledge is always greater than its verbal or conceptual expression. What we think we already know often remains unconscious, and only through inner effort can we truly access, understand, and experience that knowledge.
The idea of “I know beyond what I know” suggests that consciousness transcends its own boundaries and always contains “more” than what is outwardly visible. This “excessive” knowledge gives rise to philosophy as an inner act — not the accumulation of information, but an act of self-awareness, when a person begins to perceive their own existence phenomenologically.
In this philosophical context, we will explore Merab Mamardashvili’s views on consciousness, being, thinking, and the act of cognition itself.
During the meeting, participants will have the opportunity to join the “thinking process,” share their reflections, and come closer to understanding the dynamics of Mamardashvili’s philosophical thought.
Attendance is possible both in person and online.
The event will feature a reception and a pleasant atmosphere.
